A side protection for Greenbuster weed cleaners reduces the risk of pebbles and gravel being thrown far away from where the machine is working. This can be an advantage if you have to work close to house walls or close to cars, for example in a parking lot.
Kwern offers 2 different types of side protection. A single side protection shields 90 degrees of the brush head and is adjustable around the brushes, so it can be rotated to protect a specific area. A double side protection shields 180 degrees of the brush head and can also be rotated around the brushes.
It can be a good idea to use a side protection if you have to work in an area with pebbles and gravel. These shields are designed to reduce the risk of loose stones flying around, so they do not hit cars, windows or people.

Which machines does a side protection fit?
Both single and double side protection fit Home 550, Pro 66 and Pro 3 tile cleaners. Both types can also be used with our Rider accessories, with the purchase of a special bracket for mounting.
What type of side protection should I use?
In general, we would only recommend using a side protection in areas with loose stones and gravel that can easily be thrown around. A single side protection will be sufficient for smaller areas, where there is no need to move the machine quickly. If you expect to move the machine faster, for example in more difficult areas with uneven terrain, the throw angle may change. In these more difficult cases, a double side protection can be useful to protect on both sides of the machine.
